Job Description
Analyze production non-conformances, develop engineering dispositions, and support aircraft manufacturing through liaison engineering activities on the factory floor. Apply engineering principles to resolve product and process issues, perform structural assessments, and implement improvements throughout the production lifecycle. Collaborate with production personnel, suppliers, and integrated product teams while supporting manufacturing operations and engineering investigations.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET or ABET equivalent accredited program
- 9 or more years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 9 or more years of experience with Material Review Board (MRB) activities related to aircraft systems or structures
- Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes
- Prior BCA Engineering Material Review Board (MRB) certification
- Job Duties & Functions
- Analyze production non-conformances and develop engineering dispositions
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing issues
- Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality concerns
- Identify, document, and communicate deviations that could impact design intent or product safety
- Recommend and manage engineering resolutions throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop and implement product and process improvements
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in design reviews
- Represent engineering from initial build through production and post-production activities
- Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with engineering standards
- Prepare customer correspondence supporting the continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
- Participate in disabled product repair teams, accident investigations, and engineering support activities
- Evaluate damage repairs and structural modifications to determine appropriate jacking and shoring requirements
- Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analysis
- Develop non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards
- Support onsite manufacturing operations within the factory environment
- Complete the approximately 9-month training rotation program, including rotating shifts and travel between sites as required
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work onsite full time in a manufacturing environment
- Navigate stairs throughout the facility
- Work around trip hazards, elevated noise levels, and chemical handling and breathing hazards
- Enter aircraft during various stages of production
- Travel between Puget Sound sites during the training rotation as required
- Support rotating first, second, or third shifts, weekend assignments, and overtime as required
