Job Description

Support the design, development, integration, and verification of hardware-in-the-loop and closed-loop test facilities within the System Integration Laboratories. Perform laboratory integration, testing, documentation, and engineering support activities while maintaining compliance with engineering standards. Assist with laboratory operations, equipment management, and continuous process improvements to support engineering programs.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency with real-time simulation tools including MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and NI VeriStand
    • Strong understanding of hardware integration, signal conditioning, power distribution, and data acquisition systems
    • Familiarity with ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and ARP4754
    • Ability to create schematics and block diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, and Siemens NX/3DX
    • Experience managing parts logistics, inventory control, receiving, ordering, and vendor coordination
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • 2 - 4 years of experience with Power Distribution
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Test Equipment Design, Testing and Development, Testing Lab, and Electrical Testing
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Data Acquisition
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Hardware Integration
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Oral and Written Communication Skills
    • 2 - 4 years of experience with Zuken E3
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with 3DX Development, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Simulation
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Assist with the design, development, integration, and testing of hardware-in-the-loop and closed-loop laboratory configurations
    • Receive, stage, and integrate hardware from subsystem teams
    • Manage interface control documents and coordinate wiring, power, and data connections
    • Participate in technical interchange meetings and provide project status updates
    • Track laboratory risks, issues, and mitigation activities
    • Capture key performance indicators and prepare laboratory status reports
    • Support procurement of capital equipment and laboratory facility modifications
    • Order, receive, and track laboratory parts and consumables
    • Maintain inventory records and coordinate with vendors and internal supply chains
    • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and update work instructions
    • Produce engineering documentation including schematics, block diagrams, procedures, and test results
    • Develop detailed schematics and system block diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, and Siemens NX/3DX
