Electronics Coating Technician

Job Description

Operate dispensing and conformal coating equipment to process electronic assemblies according to manufacturing specifications. Perform inspection, touch-up, machine maintenance, and material handling activities to support production while maintaining product quality. Prepare and apply coating, bonding, potting, and finishing materials throughout the manufacturing process.

• $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly OT40

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of various manufacturing materials
• Complete applicable Specific Function Training courses
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Job Duties & Functions
• Operate dispensing and coating machines to meet customer specifications
• Mask and tape circuit boards to protect designated areas from conformal coating or potting
• Inspect assemblies to verify proper coating coverage
• Maintain coating and dispensing machines for efficient operation
• Remove excess coating and perform manual touch-up as needed
• Transport racks of circuit boards throughout the manufacturing process
• Change machine fluids, mixers, and clean equipment as required
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Complete encapsulation of discrete assemblies
• Replenish chemicals, solvents, compounds, and process fluids as required
• Prepare and apply potting, bonding, coating compounds, lubricants, spray coatings, and insulated tape to components and assemblies
• Advance and retrieve products, materials, and tools within the facility and from local suppliers
• Carry out additional production tasks assigned by the supervisor
