Test & Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description

Support the build, installation, maintenance, calibration, checkout, and operation of instrumentation systems used to collect engineering measurement data. Assist with instrumentation installation by following technician-prepared instructions, operate data acquisition and recording equipment, and maintain instrumentation accuracy through established maintenance and operating procedures. Perform work supporting test aircraft avionics and instrumentation wiring.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with 16+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 14+ years of experience
• Demonstrated extensive strain gauge experience
• Support instrumentation system installation, checkout, maintenance, and calibration activities
• Perform operation of data acquisition systems and recording equipment
• Experience working on test aircraft avionics and instrumentation wiring
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Job Duties & Functions
• Support the building and maintenance of instrumentation systems used for engineering measurement data
• Apply technician-prepared traveler instructions during instrumentation activities
• Assist with preparation and installation of instrumentation systems
• Conduct checkout and operation of instrumentation systems
• Follow planned maintenance and calibration procedures for instrumentation and control equipment
• Maintain instrumentation accuracy to ensure data validity
• Operate data acquisition systems and other recording equipment
• Upload required onboarding documentation under Other Attachments
• Comply with standard operating procedures for instrumentation and control equipment
