Materials Engineer

Job Description

Support the design, prototyping, and production of thin film coating products while working alongside senior engineering staff. Provide production engineering support, monitor metrology results, and assist with process development activities. Contribute to engineering projects in an onsite manufacturing environment.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline and 0-3+ years of hands-on experience
• Interest in advanced materials design and manufacturing
• Experience working in a demanding team-oriented environment
• Intermediate-to-advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues at all organizational levels
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Support senior engineers with thin film coating design, prototyping, and production activities
• Provide engineering support to the production team
• Monitor in-process and post-production metrology data
• Interpret metrology results to support engineering and production objectives
