Job Description
Develop FPGA architectures and firmware by translating high-level requirements into detailed hardware designs while supporting documentation, simulation, and integration activities. Perform Verilog development, create formal firmware documentation, and assist with prototype testing and design refinement. Coordinate engineering efforts throughout the FPGA development lifecycle while maintaining version-controlled design artifacts.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 9-15 years of experience or a Master's degree with 7-13 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience with Verilog
- Working knowledge of FPGA Design Toolchain (Vivado/Quartus)
- Proficiency with RTL Coding & Simulation
- Experience creating Firmware Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Firmware Design Descriptions (FDD)
- Working knowledge of Git version control
- Ability to review architecture and translate high-level requirements into detailed FPGA designs
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

- Review architecture and translate high-level requirements into detailed FPGA designs
- Develop Verilog code to implement FPGA logic for data processing pipelines and serial communications
- Create Firmware Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Firmware Design Descriptions (FDD)
- Simulate FPGA designs to verify functionality before hardware availability
- Load FPGA firmware onto prototype hardware for integration activities
- Support integration teams by resolving problem reports (PTRs) and refining firmware designs as required
