Job Description

Perform structural repair, maintenance, inspection, modification, and component replacement on commercial aircraft while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and approved maintenance documentation. Support aircraft return-to-service by completing structural repairs, fabricating sheet metal components, maintaining quality documentation, and promoting safe, efficient maintenance operations.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 10+ years of experience performing aircraft structural maintenance on commercial narrow-body and wide-body transport category aircraft
• Valid FAA Airframe License
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with Starlink or similar systems
• Perform structural fabrication and repair using sheet metal industry standards
• Read, comprehend, and follow Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Orders, and other approved maintenance documentation
• Operate precision drilling, sanding, riveting, and cutting equipment to required specifications
• Demonstrate proficiency reading, interpreting, and applying FAA-approved maintenance data including IPC, Maintenance Manuals, Overhaul Manuals, and Structural Repair Manuals
• Report with a personal set of standard trade-specific tools
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Aircraft structural maintenance experience supporting current fleet types maintained or modified by the repair station
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant or Airframe License
• Experience performing V/VIP custom aircraft interior completions
• Completion of General Familiarization Training Courses on current fleet types maintained or modified by the repair station
• Mentor and train less experienced technicians
• Operate advanced structural equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic brakes, shears, shrinkers, stretchers, rollers, bead blasters, and dimplers
• Perform structural modifications and repairs to seat tracks, stringers, frames, floor beams, spars, and external skins with minimal supervision

• Job Duties & Functions
• Perform all phases of aircraft structural repair, maintenance, modification, inspection, operational checks, servicing, and component replacement
• Read sketches, drawings, schematics, and Structural Repair Manual references to accomplish assigned tasks
• Lay out, measure, bend, and form sheet metal for aircraft structural assemblies
• Fabricate sheet metal components from raw stock by cutting and drilling for installation
• Follow the Repair Station Quality Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, manufacturer service bulletins, and other approved maintenance data
• Maintain a safe, organized work area while complying with company safety procedures
• Tag and properly store aircraft components, parts, and panels
• Complete maintenance documentation and required sign-offs in accordance with Repair Station Quality Manual requirements
• Utilize tools, ground support equipment, and maintenance equipment safely while returning all equipment to designated storage locations
• Support continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency while maintaining safety as the highest priority
• Communicate task progress, delays, and technical concerns with the Lead Technician
• Interact professionally and respectfully with customers
• Deliver high-quality, airworthy aircraft while meeting established performance and schedule expectations
• Participate in required company training
• Perform other assigned duties

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Work in an office environment, aircraft hangar, departure gate, or aircraft parking ramp
• Perform medium physical work
• Frequently walk, stand, and climb
• Work through confined aircraft openings while using ladders, scaffolds, hoists, and lifts
• Operate precision instruments and specialized maintenance tools
• Work in varying environmental conditions typical of an aviation repair facility
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Perform climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching as required
• Frequently lift up to 10 pounds
• Remain standing for extended periods
• Perform constant repetitive arm and hand movements
• Remain seated with back support as required
