Job Description

Coordinate configuration and product data management activities supporting complex engineering products throughout the product lifecycle. Develop configuration management processes, analyze engineering changes, and support technical reviews while ensuring compliance with established standards. Integrate engineering product structures, resolve configuration issues, and manage technical program plans under general direction.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline with typically 5+ years of related work experience; or a Master's degree with typically 3+ years of related work experience; or a PhD with related work experience; or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management
• Demonstrate knowledge of military configuration management rules
• Apply Configuration Management principles throughout the product lifecycle
• Utilize EIA 649-1 standards
• Perform change and variance management processing
• Create and maintain Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
• Manage and track A.C.N. activities
• Develop planning tasks and implementation plans
• Provide organization to engineering issues
• Exhibit communication skills that effectively communicate technical plans
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Job Duties & Functions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, analyze, manage, and verify process and product baselines for complex products
• Define, plan, coordinate, and conduct product and subsystem technical design reviews and audits
• Analyze complex product trades and engineering changes while developing technically complete change proposals
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, and tools
• Allocate Configuration and Data Management requirements for hardware, software, and engineering design data throughout the product lifecycle
• Coordinate the integration of engineering product elements while resolving product structure issues
• Develop, integrate, and implement engineering technical program plans, including impacts, risks, and lessons learned across multiple engineering functions
• Support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program by organizing engineering configuration data and modification structures
