Material Handler

Job Description

Load, unload, transport, and organize materials throughout a warehouse while supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities. Perform material handling tasks using manual methods and powered equipment while accurately recording inventory transactions. Assist production and warehouse operations by moving materials and maintaining inventory records.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 - 2 years of experience following up on assigned tasks, maintaining multiple agendas effectively, strong attention to detail, and a team player
• 1 - 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
• 1 - 2 years of experience with inventory management
• 1 - 2 years of experience operating a warehouse forklift
• Demonstrate strong computer skills and accurately enter information into multiple inventory management databases
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• 1 - 2 years of experience with Physical Verification
• 1 - 2 years of experience with Inventory Control

• Job Duties & Functions
• Load materials onto pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, machines, and trucks
• Unload materials from trucks, pallets, conveyors, and production equipment
• Transport materials using forklifts, hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, elevators, and other approved equipment
• Move materials throughout the warehouse and worksite
• Open containers using hand tools
• Count and weigh incoming and outgoing materials
• Record inventory and material movement information accurately
• Stack and assemble materials for storage or shipment
• Assist machine operators by lifting heavy materials manually or with power hoists
• Support shipping and receiving operations
• Maintain inventory records within multiple computer databases

• Lift and move heavy materials manually or with power hoists
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Work in a warehouse environment
• Complete Forklift Training
