Job Description

Perform the assembly, soldering, repair, and testing of cable harnesses and test equipment assemblies. Interpret engineering documentation, electrical schematics, bills of materials, and assembly drawings to support production requirements. Execute repetitive cable build activities while maintaining quality and workmanship standards.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • 4-8 years of work-related experience
    • Maintain certification to solder, build, repair, and test equipment cables
    • Demonstrate experience building test equipment assets or equivalent assemblies
    • Apply knowledge of assembly processes
    • Utilize cable design principles during assembly activities
    • Perform cable harness fabrication and installation
    • Execute diagnostic and repair procedures on cable assemblies
    • Conduct electrical testing activities
    • Complete electronic testing using approved procedures
    • Comply with IPC-WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards
    • Interpret military specifications and electronic schematics
    • Read electrical schematics accurately
    • Review engineering schematics to support assembly requirements
    • Use bills of materials (BOMs) during assembly and verification
    • Operate soldering equipment proficiently
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Assemble high-level cable harnesses and cable assemblies
    • Repair equipment cables to engineering specifications
    • Test completed cable assemblies for functionality and quality
    • Support production of test equipment assets and related assemblies
    • Interpret build instructions to ensure accurate assembly
    • Follow electrical CCA schematics, bills of materials, and assembly drawings
    • Construct cable harnesses for assigned production projects
    • Maintain consistent workmanship while performing repetitive cable build operations
