Structural & Payload Design Engineer 3

Job Description

Design and develop structural components supporting the 737 production program. Create engineering solutions using CATIA V5 and Boeing design tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges. Provide technical support for structural modifications and ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and program requirements.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences, or equivalent technical education from an accredited engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry program
• 8+ years of structural design experience with proficiency using CATIA V5 and Boeing-specific design tools and processes
• Experience supporting the development of structural designs for commercial aircraft production
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Capable of recognizing project needs independently while developing technical solutions for a broad range of engineering challenges
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, engineering specifications, and maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Previous experience supporting the Boeing 737 Structures program
• Familiarity with DCCS, ETAC, and PDM
• Experience working in a highly dynamic production environment while supporting multiple engineering priorities

• Develop structural designs supporting 737 aircraft production activities
• Create engineering solutions using CATIA V5 and Boeing design tools
• Support production teams by resolving structural design issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering organizations to deliver technical solutions
• Provide engineering support for structural modifications and production improvements
• Communicate technical information to engineering teams and stakeholders
• Identify design improvements that enhance manufacturability and product quality
• Support aircraft evaluations and production activities as required
• Travel domestically on a limited basis to support program needs
