Job Description
Develop structural and mechanical system designs supporting aircraft modification and sustainment programs. Create product definitions using 3D CAD tools, validate system performance, and collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and engineering organizations throughout the product lifecycle. Support repair development, rapid prototyping, and design improvements while ensuring technical requirements are met.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences
- 2+ years of engineering experience with intermediate CATIA and ENOVIA skills
- Develop mechanical and structural system requirements while creating and maintaining 3D component and system designs
- Perform system validation and verification testing to ensure requirements and specifications are achieved
- Communicate effectively with geographically dispersed engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives
- Support supplier development, production activities, and coordination to optimize product designs and program objectives
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Structures Engineering
- Experience with IVT, REDARS, and CMPRO
- Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data while developing conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to communicate technical information with cross-functional engineering teams supporting design, production, and product support
- Job Duties & Functions
- Develop, integrate, and document mechanical and structural payload system requirements
- Create, maintain, and manage mechanical and structural system and component designs using 3D CAD tools and other design methods
- Perform testing to validate and verify system and component requirements
- Lead supplier development, testing, production activities, and design coordination
- Investigate emerging technologies to support future product concepts and designs
- Communicate technical information with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory delegates
- Develop repair solutions and create 3D-printed test parts for validation
- Collaborate with local machine shops to rapidly produce repair parts for test articles
- Build strong working relationships with production teams supporting test article manufacturing
