Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop, implement, integrate, and test embedded software supporting real-time systems using Agile development methodologies. Analyze software architecture, evaluate algorithm requirements, and enhance existing code to support embedded applications. Coordinate software development activities from requirements analysis through acceptance testing and delivery.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 11+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9+ years of experience with a Master's degree
• Current active Secret Clearance with the most recent investigation completed within the last 5 years
• Develop real-time embedded software using C++ on Linux platforms
• Integrate and test embedded software with hardware systems
• Analyze algorithm descriptions provided by Systems Engineering
• Support software architecture development and code enhancements
• Utilize Agile software development methodologies
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of RTI Data Distribution Services (DDS) Publish/Subscribe communication protocol
• Experience with Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA)
• Experience developing with CMake
• Familiarity with the Ada programming language for embedded real-time applications
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines
