Job Description
Perform fabrication, assembly, machining, composite lay-up, and component installation activities supporting manufacturing operations. Assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and avionics components while preparing test articles, applying coatings, and following engineering drawings and established work instructions. Support production activities onsite while successfully completing required training before assignment.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures
- 1+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and other specialized computer applications
- 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions and reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills

- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of urgency when completing assigned tasks
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks
- Complete composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly activities
- Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
- Repair, modify, and install power plants and drive trains
- Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products
- Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products
- Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for testing
- Conduct basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
- Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
- Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Walk constantly throughout the workday
- Stand for 6-8 hours per day
- Climb stairs, steps, and ladders for up to 8 hours per day
- Bend, twist, squat, and kneel frequently throughout the workday
- Lift 35-40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Work with high-hazard chemicals
- Complete 2-3 weeks of required training prior to assignment
- Successfully complete on-the-job or formal classroom training as a condition of assignment
