Job Description

Perform engineering integration activities supporting current and future C-17 avionics and flight controls development programs. Coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts, project schedules, support system elements, and technical deliverables to ensure successful program execution and fielding readiness. Support multiple engineering disciplines while communicating project status, risks, and mitigation plans across geographically diverse teams.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM field
    • 9+ years of related engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 7+ years of experience with project management or engineering integration within complex development programs
    • 3+ years of experience with project scheduling
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Collaborate effectively with members of multiple departments and teams toward a common objective
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience with Project Engineering or Project Integration, Avionics Project Integration or Project Engineering, USAF Technical Orders, and USAF Support Equipment
    • Experience with avionics software development
    • Understanding of logistics support element development and delivery
    • Demonstrate organizational and team-building skills
    • Ability to perform project planning and execution
    • Aptitude to remain politely persistent while achieving results
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform engineering integration activities supporting current and future development programs
    • Coordinate avionics development, software testing, verification and validation, and technical publications
    • Define support system elements and schedules down to the part number and book number level
    • Ensure support system elements are complete and accurate for Fielding Certification Board activities
    • Identify and coordinate work products required for downstream engineering efforts
    • Maintain accurate and current status of project progress, issues, and resolutions
    • Plan, coordinate, and conduct Support Systems Requirements and Readiness Reviews
    • Represent the engineering organization accurately with internal organizations and customers
    • Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary internal and external teams
    • Lead project integration activities to maintain alignment with established schedules
    • Communicate progress, issues, and support needs across geographically diverse teams
    • Develop mitigation plans to address program risks and integration challenges
    • Execute assigned engineering integration tasks while working under minimal direction
