Job Description

Perform production and inventory coordination activities while supporting material planning, shop operations, and repair processes in a manufacturing environment. Coordinate inventory requirements, interpret engineering documentation, and utilize mechanical and computer skills to support production objectives. Execute assigned work in accordance with established shop processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Computer skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Mechanical skills building and disassembling items using hand tools and calibrated precision tools
    • Perform repairs by following written instruction manuals
    • Demonstrated knowledge of shop processes, including Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues using established physical, mechanical, or scientific principles
    • Ability to gather, retain, and recall written and verbal information necessary to complete assigned work
    • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts and systems, including planned versus unplanned demand, economic order quantity, resource planning, material types, manufacturing versus purchasing, and lead times
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Coordinate production and inventory activities to support manufacturing operations
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to support production documentation and reporting
    • Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and calibrated precision tools
    • Complete repairs by following the written instruction manuals
    • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and design changes
    • Apply shop processes related to FOD prevention, material handling, safety, calibration, and ESD requirements
    • Identify, isolate, and resolve production and assembly issues using established troubleshooting methods
    • Support material planning activities using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts and systems
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
    • Successfully complete required on-the-job training (OJT) or formal classroom training as a condition of the assignment
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • On-site work in a manufacturing environment
    • Complete knowledge of shop processes, including FOD prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and ESD
    • Successful completion of OJT or formal classroom training is required
    • Regular and predictable attendance is required
