Job Description

Perform circuit card assembly rework, repair, modification, and documentation on electronic and electrical assemblies using established technical standards and work instructions. Support production activities by completing component-level soldering, inspection, data collection, and process documentation while maintaining quality and operational requirements.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 5-7 years of experience performing rework operations using standard hand and pneumatic tools
    • 3 years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and NASA assembly soldering specifications
    • 5 years of experience with J-STD-001
    • 5 years of experience performing soldering and electronics repair to the component level
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
    • Follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct placement and connections
    • Demonstrate basic computer skills, including desktop navigation, file management, printer connectivity, and system settings
    • Exhibit strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
    • Communicate effectively when reporting issues and following instructions
    • Work any shift as required
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform rapid repair and rework on circuit card assemblies, electronic assemblies, and subassemblies
    • Complete simple and complex rework and modifications in accordance with IPC and J-STD requirements
    • Operate shop tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment
    • Document results in accordance with applicable procedures
    • Collect statistical process control data and input required production information
    • Execute repair activities using work instructions, technical drawings, 2D and 3D models, schematics, wiring diagrams, process specifications, photographs, illustrations, and sketches
    • Fabricate, install, adjust, fit, align fasteners, make connections, and assemble subcomponents as required
    • Identify and document circuit card assembly non-conformances to the component level
    • Incorporate approved rework, modifications, repairs, and engineering changes into electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
    • Assist with defining, implementing, completing, and monitoring assigned work scope
    • Recommend product and process improvements through studies and evaluations
    • Maintain rework charts, logs, records, and reports
    • Handle hazardous waste when qualified
    • Maintain required licenses, permits, and certifications
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Sit or stand while performing work at workbenches
    • Bend to retrieve circuit boards and place boards on storage shelves
    • Lift and move circuit boards weighing under 10 pounds
    • Support overtime as required
