Job Description
Perform structural and interior payload system design activities to support aircraft payload system development, integration, validation, and production support activities within an engineering environment.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences, with 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- 5+ years of experience applying engineering processes, tools, release processes, and Design for Manufacturing principles within an aerospace production environment.
- 5+ years of experience supporting aircraft cabin and cargo engineering products, including cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, validation, and/or certification activities.
- 5+ years of experience supporting engineering activities within a production system, including cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, aerospace suppliers, airlines, and regulatory agencies.
- 5+ years of experience validating compliance with regulatory requirements and working directly with regulators to support certification activities.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent requirements
- Experience with aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria, and release processes
- Boeing experience is a plus
- 2+ years of experience with program or project management, including development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk management, and issue management
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
- Experience with CATIA
- Experience with ENOVIA
- Job Duties & Functions
- Assist with developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system designs.
- Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer-Aided Design tools and other design methods.
- Provide product definition support to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to support development, testing, production activities, and design optimization efforts.
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements.
- Support engineering activities under general supervision.
