Job Description

Develop mission-critical embedded software supporting the F-22 Stores Management System (SMS) throughout the software development lifecycle. Perform software design, implementation, integration, verification, and testing while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile development environment. Support airborne software development for current aircraft platforms using industry-standard engineering processes and tools.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
    • 6+ years of experience with C++ or C
    • 6+ years of experience with IBM DOORS or comparable requirements management tools, including Jama Connect, Siemens Polarion ALM, or Visure Solutions
    • 6+ years of experience with F-22 subsystems and software architecture
    • 9+ years of experience developing mission-critical embedded software for aircraft applications
    • 6+ years of experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments, requirement verification testing (RVT), and unit testing
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience with MATLAB and Python
    • Familiarity with 6DoF simulations
    • Knowledge of fire control systems
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Lead the technical direction for the F-22 Stores Management System team
    • Prepare engineering Basis of Estimate (BOE) bids for new software features
    • Coordinate with the Cost Accounting Manager (CAM) to maintain program tracking
    • Collaborate with engineering and program management leadership
    • Drive product development using Agile methodologies
    • Design, implement, and integrate C/C++ software for airborne applications
    • Participate in requirements analysis, verification, and validation activities
    • Conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations and testing
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot software issues and improve product quality
    • Contribute to documentation and configuration management using IBM DOORS
