Job Description
Perform manufacturing planning by developing comprehensive work instructions that support aircraft production and assembly operations. Analyze engineering data, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation to produce detailed planning packages while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Tool Design, and Manufacturing teams. Support production by ensuring planning documentation complies with engineering requirements and manufacturing standards.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of work-related experience
- 5+ years of experience creating comprehensive manufacturing work instructions for one or more of the following: machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB, or coatings
- 4 - 6 years of experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), Manufacturing Experience, and Manufacturing Process
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications, and manufacturing work instruction planning
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, processes, policies, and manufacturing documentation
- Apply detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods for aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles
- Utilize SAP, Microsoft Office, CAPP/SFM, Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX, or equivalent manufacturing software
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Understand Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), and Order Bill of Materials (OBOM)
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM issues
- Familiarity with CAD and CAE tools, including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA
- Familiarity with PLM software, including Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or SAP PLM
- Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or product data management software
- Demonstrate effective communication skills when working with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams
- Aviation experience

- Analyze engineering drawings, models, specifications, processes, policies, procedures, and related technical references
- Determine manufacturing operations and production sequences required to develop comprehensive work instructions
- Develop planning documentation supporting machine parts, composite structures, aircraft systems, electrical systems, plumbing, maintenance, MRB, or coatings
- Apply shop theory, tooling knowledge, manufacturing methods, processes, and production sequencing to planning activities
- Collaborate with designers and production engineers to establish efficient manufacturing instructions
- Interpret engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements to support economical production methods
- Perform liaison activities between Engineering, Planning, Tool Design, Tool Shops, and Production
- Investigate planning discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain production conformity
