Systems Integration | Test Engineer

Job Description

Support the integration and testing of electrical, optical, infrared (IR), and electro-optical sensor systems for space applications. Develop system integration and test solutions, verify system performance, and execute comprehensive testing activities for hardware and software components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate system requirements while supporting customer objectives, technical constraints, and program schedules.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 5+ years of experience with electro-optical, optical, or InfraRed (IR) design and development
• 6+ years of experience with electro-optical system design, integration, testing, and verification/validation
• 6+ years of experience developing and executing test plans, Electronic Testing, and Physics
• Demonstrated ability to develop advanced test plans, test procedures, test execution schedules, and test reports supporting customer and stakeholder reviews
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• 6+ years of experience with Environmental Stress Screening
• 6+ years of experience with Electrical Testing

• Job Duties & Functions
• Plan integration and testing activities for in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems
• Implement system integration solutions supporting electrical, optical, infrared, and electro-optical sensor development
• Document integration and test activities throughout the development lifecycle
• Maintain integration and testing solutions for hardware and software systems
• Synthesize customer requirements into test solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
• Resolve hardware and software interface issues across integrated systems
• Define system input and output parameters supporting subsystem integration
• Review system requirements to ensure testability
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for systems and subsystems
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and supporting organizations
• Analyze test results to verify and validate system performance
• Prepare subsystem and system evaluation reports
• Generate discrepancy reports documenting test findings
• Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate corrective actions for software, components, subsystems, and systems
