Job Description
Develop, integrate, and support high-performance command and control software for satellite and ground systems within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security organization. Lead software engineering activities in a DevSecOps environment while supporting system architecture, agile development, software integration, and customer deliverables.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 14+ years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of directly related work experience
- 5+ years of experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems
- 3+ years of experience leading software development projects
- 3+ years of experience developing software using Java, C++, or Python
- Demonstrate experience with Flight Dynamics, Orbital Analysis, Satellite Management Systems, or Ground Control Management
- Possess software development experience
- Apply systems engineering principles
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL database technologies, messaging systems, including Kafka or ActiveMQ, and data streaming technologies, including CCSDS
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- Performing Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), or Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Develop and maintain software requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance Command and Control software solutions
- Lead software development activities using a scaled Agile methodology within a DevSecOps environment
- Integrate completed software components into fully functional software systems
- Support progress demonstration presentations for customer representatives and program leadership
- Perform Product Owner, technical leadership, architecture, design, and software direction activities
- Implement structured development and integration schedules alongside managed cost baselines
- Collaborate with integrated product teams to meet software development objectives
- Utilize modern technologies, architectures, and automated testing capabilities within a CI/CD environment
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
