Job Description

EMG- Perform expert-level manufacturing planning activities supporting tooling development, production planning, and manufacturing process improvements for commercial aircraft programs. Support strategic manufacturing initiatives by developing tooling requirements, analyzing production processes, and implementing manufacturing solutions that improve quality, cost, and delivery performance. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop work statements, mitigate manufacturing risks, and sustain production operations.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Associate degree in a related discipline
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing production environment
• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with Product Data Manager (PDM)
• Experience with Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP)

• Job Duties & Functions
• Plan and lead teams supporting the implementation of strategic business initiatives and manufacturing and tooling enhancements
• Analyze new technologies, concepts, and processes that simplify and improve manufacturing processes
• Support industry benchmarking to identify manufacturing best practices
• Lead the integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
• Participate in source selection activities to ensure manufacturing requirements are achieved
• Develop unique and innovative tooling requirements aligned with strategic initiatives
• Establish processes for managing tooling from initial design through end-of-use disposition
• Investigate critical manufacturing-related issues
• Implement solutions involving a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Research advanced applications and methodologies to improve producibility
• Influence product design to support efficient manufacturing and optimum value
• Present business case and trade study recommendations to leadership for review
• Lead the development of complex work statements and event sequencing to support delivery commitments
• Perform high-level analysis of schedules and work statement processes to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks
• Research, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes supporting long-range goals and strategic initiatives
