Job Description

The A&P Crew Chief leads maintenance personnel and coordinates aircraft maintenance activities, inspection management, and task execution for assigned mechanics. Oversees adherence to FAA regulations, company standards, and customer requirements while ensuring aircraft are maintained in an airworthy and compliant condition. Provides technical oversight, workflow coordination, and supervisory direction to support safe and efficient maintenance operations.

    • 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM) or 2nd Shift (3:48 PM – 12:18 AM)
    • Tools Required
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Valid A&P License
    • 5+ years of heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience
    • 5+ years of recent Crew Chief or supervisory experience
    • Experience interpreting SRM, GMM, and other technical maintenance documentation
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in a maintenance environment
    • Strong problem resolution and interpersonal communication skills
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Must be able to work overtime and operate independently
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Train and assist mechanics in proper maintenance procedures and practices
    • Prioritize daily work requirements based on schedule and manpower availability
    • Assign tasks to qualified mechanics and technicians based on work scope requirements
    • Provide technical guidance to ensure accurate and compliant maintenance execution
    • Monitor progress of daily maintenance tasks to ensure schedule adherence
    • Document incomplete or delayed tasks and communicate status updates
    • Coordinate workflow with management, customers, and maintenance teams
    • Ensure maintenance is properly performed and recorded per FAA and company standards
    • Verify proper tagging, handling, and preservation of aircraft parts and components
    • Maintain safe, clean, and organized hangar and aircraft work environments
    • Conduct safety meetings and reinforce safety and quality workmanship standards
    • Ensure proper completion of maintenance entries on work orders and repair station forms
    • Utilize computer systems to research technical data and parts requirements
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Maintain mobility to access all areas of the aircraft during inspection and maintenance tasks
    • Stand for extended periods during maintenance operations
    • Lift and carry equipment and components as required during maintenance activities
    • Work in environments requiring focus, coordination, and situational awareness
    • Operate safely in hangar and ramp environments with exposure to aircraft operations
