Job Description

Apply advanced industrial engineering principles to improve manufacturing operations, product lifecycle processes, and large-scale systems integration supporting the Space Launch System (SLS) program. Develop analytical models, optimize production processes, improve schedule performance, and implement Lean manufacturing solutions while managing engineering projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
    • Typically 5+ years of related Industrial Engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with MESci, Aurora, and Constraints-Based Scheduling
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, systems integration, and asset utilization, and developing engineering models, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis
    • Knowledge of mathematical modeling, simulation, statistics, and engineering economics
    • Experience with value stream analysis, capacity planning, workflow optimization, and logistics
    • Project management experience, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk analysis
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts to manufacturing, engineering, and service operations
    • Develop analytical models, databases, spreadsheets, and performance metrics
    • Support product and process design throughout the product lifecycle
    • Research, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance schedule performance, reduce cost, and improve quality
    • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering methodologies to optimize operations
    • Manage project scope, cost, schedules, and risk using project management tools
    • Develop optimal process designs through mathematical modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis
    • Analyze value streams, production capacity, throughput, workflow, logistics, and factory layout
    • Support supplier performance analysis and resource utilization initiatives
    • Support manufacturing operations for the Space Launch System (SLS) program
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work onsite full-time
    • Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs
