Perform structural analysis supporting aircraft interior and systems components using classical, empirical, and finite element analysis methods. Develop structural substantiation, validate engineering models, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure compliance with certification and design requirements. Support production and customer needs while documenting analytical results and engineering findings.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related field
- 3+ years of experience using linear and nonlinear static Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with efficient load paths and structural behavior
- Experience performing structural analysis using classical, empirical, and finite element methods
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience using HyperMesh, HyperView, NASTRAN, and PATRAN
- Experience with durability, fail-safe, and damage tolerance fundamentals
- Experience working with or demonstrating compliance with FAA and EASA regulations
- 4+ years of experience working with 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform and document structural analysis of aircraft interior and systems commodities
- Demonstrate compliance with applicable FAA and EASA certification requirements
- Create and validate finite element models from 3D CAD models using appropriate modeling assumptions
- Analyze composite panels, inserts, metal brackets, fittings, tab-and-slot designs, and adhesive joints
- Substantiate aircraft structures using classical hand calculations
- Determine and predict potential structural failure modes
- Coordinate with design engineers, allowable groups, and interfacing engineering teams
- Review engineering drawings and assemblies to substantiate designs through testing, analysis, or similarity methods
- Communicate technical requirements, analytical results, and engineering findings to engineers, leads, and managers
- Support occasional off-shift work to address emergent operational issues
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
