Electronic Technician

Job Description

Performs electronic and electro-mechanical assembly activities supporting production, prototype, developmental, and preproduction operations. Completes assembly, modification, rework, and quality testing tasks while working with miniature precision components under limited documentation and guidance. Collaborates with engineering personnel to support manufacturing and product development objectives.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience using a microscope to assemble components
• Demonstrated visual acuity for microscope-based assembly work
• Background working with miniature precision devices and components
• Capability to perform tasks requiring precise hand-eye coordination
• Adaptability to changing part conditions during assembly processes
• Flexibility when working with detailed part inconsistencies
• Technical aptitude with strong attention to detail
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• Experience working in an ISO or clean room environment
• Background assembling miniature parts into assemblies using a microscope
• IPC J-STD-001 solder certification

• Job Duties & Functions
• Performs electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations for production and prototype units
• Completes modification and rework activities as required
• Executes quality testing of assemblies and components
• Supports product development, manufacturing engineering, and preproduction operations
• Utilizes microscopes and precision equipment during assembly processes
• Interacts with development and manufacturing engineering personnel to resolve production issues
