Safety Engineer

Job Description

Performs systems safety engineering analyses to evaluate hazards and ensure compliance with program safety requirements. Documents findings in safety and investigative reports while reviewing technical problem reports for safety impact. Supports customer-facing meetings and safety review processes, including SSTRP activities.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience performing SSHAR, SAR, HTS, and FHA analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-882E
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Conducts engineering and technical safety analyses in support of system safety requirements
• Documents findings for safety and investigative reporting purposes
• Reviews problem reports to assess potential safety impacts
• Performs system safety analyses, including SSHAR, SAR, HTS, and FHA in accordance with MIL-STD-882E
• Supports customer-facing meetings and safety review discussions
• Assists in SSTRP-related activities and program safety coordination
