System Integration/Test Engineer

Job Description

Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and test solutions for in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems. Support system test activities by developing test solutions that satisfy technical, schedule, and cost requirements. Perform integration, verification, validation, and analysis activities to ensure system performance and compliance with customer requirements.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Software Development, including C, C++, and LabVIEW
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Production
• 6+ years of experience with Test Equipment Design
• 6+ years of experience with Electronic Testing
• 6+ years of experience with Mechanical Testing
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Production
• 6+ years of experience with Test Equipment Design
• 6+ years of experience with Electronic Testing
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Software Development
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows CVI, and National Instruments products in development and maintenance environments
• Demonstrated proficiency with C and C++ software development
• Experience integrating Automated Test Equipment hardware, including switches, VXI/PXI chassis, EO testing, and automation systems
• Background in developing and maintaining Automated Test Equipment in a high-volume production environment

• Job Duties & Functions
• Plan integration and testing activities for in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems
• Implement solutions that support system integration and test objectives
• Document integration and test processes, procedures, and results
• Maintain integration and testing solutions throughout the system lifecycle
• Synthesize customer contractual requirements into system test solutions
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
• Resolve hardware and software interface issues
• Define system input and output parameters
• Ensure integration of complete systems and subsystems
• Review and evaluate requirements for testability
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Direct execution of subsystem and system-level testing activities
• Coordinate testing efforts with programs and other organizations
• Analyze test results and evaluate system performance
• Prepare subsystem and system-level verification and validation reports
• Write discrepancy reports and document test findings
• Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate corrective actions and system updates
