Systems Engineer

Job Description

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability assessments for total systems throughout the product lifecycle. Analyze customer and product requirements to develop system solutions that satisfy technical, schedule, and cost objectives. Support functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition activities.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Procurement, Production Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex cost-modeling tools such as SEER or TruePlanning
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• 6+ years of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an advanced level
• Conduct data analysis and provide data-driven recommendations
• 6+ years of experience with 3D Models
• 6+ years of experience with Finance/Accounting
• 6+ years of experience with Market Research Tools
• 6+ years of experience with Supply Chain
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Design for Manufacturing
• 6+ years of experience with Cost Engineering
• 6+ years of experience with Blueprint Reading
• 6+ years of experience with Market Research
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• 6+ years of experience with Cost Estimation
• 6+ years of experience with Manufacturing Process

• Job Duties & Functions
• Perform technical planning activities for total systems programs
• Execute system integration, verification, and validation efforts
• Analyze cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness throughout the system lifecycle
• Evaluate system products during concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal phases
• Ensure customer and product requirements are converted into total system solutions
• Conduct functional analyses and timeline analyses
• Perform detailed trade studies to support engineering decisions
• Allocate requirements across system elements
• Define interfaces between hardware and software components
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Support technical, schedule, and cost constraint evaluations
