Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop and support real-time embedded software applications for hardware-in-the-loop environments using C/C++ and Linux-based systems. Perform software engineering activities associated with simulation systems, embedded development, and cross-functional program execution. Support the full software development life cycle within a real-time operating environment.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in embedded software engineering
• Demonstrate proficiency in C/C++ (C++11 or higher)
• Possess proficiency with Linux systems and real-time operating environments
• Maintain previous HWIL experience working with real-time embedded systems
• Utilize experience with simulation systems
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with Ada programming language
• Demonstrate full software development life cycle experience
• Collaborate within cross-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
• Utilize Git, GitLab, and JIRA
• Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Develop real-time embedded software applications using C/C++
• Support Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test environments and activities
• Execute software development tasks within Linux and real-time operating environments
• Perform integration activities associated with simulation systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support program objectives
• Participate in software development life cycle activities, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
• Utilize configuration management and issue tracking tools to support software development efforts
