Job Description
Provide technical leadership for the development, integration, and documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements supporting military aircraft interior modification programs. Lead design engineering, shipside support, supplier coordination, and product lifecycle activities while advancing design processes and technologies. Support aircraft interior development efforts through insulation design, monument design, discrepancy disposition, and factory support activities.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
- Possess 14+ more years of related work experience with a Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate 12+ years of related work experience with a Master's degree
- Maintain 9+ years of related work experience with a PhD
- Apply expertise in Blankets Design
- Utilize Discrepancy Disposition experience
- Support Factory Shipside Support activities
- Perform Shipside Support functions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Job Duties & Functions
- Provide oversight and direction to develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements
- Lead development, maintenance, and modification of structural and interior payload system and component designs utilizing 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and other design methods
- Conduct performance, integration, and analysis testing activities to validate and verify system and component requirements
- Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities while coordinating with suppliers to optimize design performance and achieve program goals
- Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve development effectiveness, quality, and efficiency
- Investigate emerging technologies to support future product design concepts and projected requirements
- Provide design and shipside engineering services for insulation designs, aircraft monument designs, change orders, and drawing revisions utilizing Catia, Enovia, and IVT
- Serve as the shipside subject matter expert for insulation design activities
- Perform work within a controlled area environment supporting military aircraft programs
- Conduct shipside support activities in an austere environment during aircraft modification efforts
- Support aircraft modification work while climbing scaffolding and working inside aircraft platforms as required
