Job Description
Perform nondestructive evaluation activities supporting space, commercial, and defense programs through the analysis of materials, parts, processes, and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with requirements. Support research, testing, failure analysis, process improvement, and technical consultation activities while working under general direction. Contribute to supplier certification, fabrication support, fleet support, and nondestructive evaluation research and development efforts.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess 1+ years of experience in Nondestructive Evaluation
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Maintain knowledge of computer-aided design tools and systems, including CAD/CAM, CATIA, Mentor Graphics, and Unigraphics
- Utilize CATIA
- Apply CAD/CAM systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Possess 3+ years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering within a regulated industry, including aerospace, defense, or energy
- Demonstrate experience with nondestructive evaluation processes, including ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection
- Maintain ASNT Level 2 certification in multiple nondestructive evaluation processes
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and with technical and non-technical customers
- Apply a strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
- Utilize project management tools
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills while managing multiple projects across various geographical locations
- Job Duties & Functions
- Apply nondestructive evaluation methods and approaches, including acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, to perform complex analysis and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology, and equipment
- Lead complex analyses of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures
- Generate test plans, identify and categorize failures, determine root causes, and document results and recommendations
- Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
- Develop and validate revisions to procedures and specifications
- Determine the suitability of parts, materials, and processes while coordinating the resolution of complex supplier and customer issues
- Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the design, development, fabrication, testing, evaluation, and implementation of new concepts and technologies
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians
- Assist the Team Lead with work statement execution, strategy definition, and technical consultation activities
