- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 8+ years of work-related experience
- 8+ years of experience in tool and die fabrication
- 5+ years of experience leading CNC mill and lathe cell operations
- Demonstrated proficiency with CNC setup and programming, including G-code and M-code
- Working knowledge of CAM software, including Mastercam or similar applications
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Ability to work with 3-D tool models
- Understanding of inspection tools used to perform in-process quality control
- Experience machining steels, alloys, aluminum, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and additive-manufactured parts
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated ability to train junior machinists on setup procedures, inspection methods, and tooling best practices
- Job Duties & Functions
- Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe equipment
- Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM software applications
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and 3-D tool models to manufacture components
- Perform in-process quality inspections using appropriate measuring and inspection tools
- Machine a variety of materials, including steels, alloys, aluminum, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and additive-manufactured parts
- Communicate technical concepts with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives
- Participate in ESH-compliant safety programs and proactively identify workplace hazards
- Support continuous adherence to safety, quality, and operational requirements
