Systems Engineer 6

Job Description

Lead the design, integration, and testing of advanced SIGINT systems supporting airborne and space missions. Analyze system performance, sensor technologies, and data processing architectures to ensure compliance with mission requirements and operational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and improve complex intelligence-gathering systems.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated experience in the design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition methods, and data processing techniques
• Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols
• Proficiency with software tools used for the simulation and modeling of sensor systems
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Current Tier 5 (T5) background investigation, formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), or willingness to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exhibit the ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Lead the design and development of SIGINT systems while ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor systems and data processing capabilities
• Conduct system performance analyses, environmental testing activities, and data validation efforts
• Develop technical documentation supporting design activities, testing efforts, and operational procedures
• Research advancements in SIGINT technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and program management activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
• Support airborne and space mission system development activities
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
