Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, services, and supplies supporting organizational operations. Analyze supplier performance, purchasing data, and market trends to support cost-effective procurement decisions while maintaining quality and schedule requirements. Manage purchase requirements and supply chain activities in a fast-paced environment while supporting customer and operational needs.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Supply Chain
    • 1 - 2 years of experience placing purchase orders
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Commodity Purchasing
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with the ability to follow up on procurement activities
    • 1 - 2 years of experience meeting deadlines
    • 1 - 2 years of experience working independently
    • Procurement and buying experience
    • Ability to manage a high volume of purchase requirements, supply chain activities, and associated purchase orders
    • Highly organized and customer service focused
    • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with SAP
    • Background utilizing SAP in procurement environments
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Source machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies required for operations
    • Compile and analyze statistical data to evaluate purchasing feasibility and establish pricing objectives
    • Monitor supplier performance to support procurement objectives
    • Track market information to remain informed on pricing trends and manufacturing processes
    • Evaluate opportunities to leverage material acquisitions and improve purchasing strategies
    • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedule requirements
    • Review supplier proposals and recommend appropriate sourcing decisions
    • Analyze supplier operations to identify factors affecting pricing and performance
    • Follow up on purchase orders and verify delivery requirements
    • Approve payments and maintain procurement records
    • Prepare requests for proposals and bid packages when required
