Job Description
Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, and electrical system support activities within a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul environment. Execute troubleshooting, installation, testing, and repair tasks on aircraft electrical and avionics systems while maintaining compliance with regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements. Support military aircraft readiness through accurate work execution and documentation.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4 - 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or modification activities
- 737 aircraft background
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting fiber optic systems, including knowledge of fiber installation
- Able terminate and install connectors
- Work without supervision
- Ability to obtain Fall Protection Certification
- Proficiency in reading wire schematics and diagrams
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable
- Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes, including Human Factors, FOD Control, Tool Control, Health and Safety, and COSHH
- Job Duties & Functions
- Interpret wire schematics and diagrams to support electrical system installation and maintenance activities
- Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity checks on aircraft electrical systems
- Locate correct wire routing during system installation activities
- Execute AC and DC power checks independently
- Install wiring in accordance with applicable drawings, including proper spacing, cable tie usage, lacing tape application, bundle opening, connector removal and installation, and special cable care requirements
- Complete wiring terminations, including wire stripping, ring terminals, stud build-up, connector pins and sockets, splices, shield ferrules and sleeves, standard coaxial connectors, and shielded twisted pair splicing
- Operate electrical and measuring tools, including environmental crimpers, Daniels crimpers, AMP crimpers, Burndy crimpers, megohmmeters, multimeters, wire strippers, push-pull scales, weigh scales, and bond meters
- Install fiber optics, coaxial cable, quadrax, and related electrical components
- Conduct Air Data Testing with proper assistance
- Perform scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, repairs, and functional testing on avionic and electrical systems
- Report technical issues, discrepancies, and other concerns to the lead and manager
- Maintain accurate and timely work records in accordance with established processes and contractual requirements
- Support regulatory compliance and quality standards throughout maintenance and modification activities
- Adhere to established maintenance, repair, and overhaul procedures and processes
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
