Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Perform mechanical engineering activities supporting the design, development, manufacture, testing, and verification of complex microwave electronics subsystems. Support electronics packaging designs and contribute to the advancement of aerospace products and technologies through analysis, research, development, and testing efforts. Resolve complex technical problems while collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines in a hands-on product development environment.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Associate Degree and 10+ years of experience
• Experience in electronic packaging for military applications
• Experience with design and documentation of Circuit Card Assemblies, Printed Circuit Boards, and cabling
• Experience with CREO and Windchill
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Familiarity with Change Board processes and documentation control
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with electronics packaging for microwave electronics
• Experience with CREO, Windchill, and Zuken
• Hands-on experience building and testing electronic assemblies
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of materials and processes used in electronics

• Job Duties & Functions
• Support the design, development, and manufacture of complex microwave electronics subsystems
• Perform electronics packaging designs for microwave electronics components and subsystems
• Conduct testing and verification activities for electronic components and assemblies
• Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative engineering solutions
• Execute design, analysis, research, development, and testing activities across multiple engineering disciplines
• Advance new aerospace products and technologies through engineering development efforts
• Utilize modern design tools across RF/microwave, analog/digital, and mechanical/thermal engineering disciplines
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and support root cause analysis investigations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support product development objectives
• Support documentation and design control activities associated with engineering changes
