Job Description
Perform thermal protection system (TPS) application activities supporting aerospace hardware production at a NASA space systems facility. Execute primer mixing, chemical application, foam installation, and structural coating tasks using established drawings, process documents, and manufacturing requirements.

- Contract - 6 Months
- Variable Shift (must be able to work all shifts; training on 1st shift)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Education & Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and typically 1+ years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mix primers and apply coating materials in accordance with defined chemical ratios and process requirements
- Apply thermal protection system (TPS) foam materials to aerospace structures and components
- Interpret complex blueprints and process documentation to execute manufacturing tasks
- Work on aerospace structures using established drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Handle and apply chemicals safely in support of production operations
- Work in confined or tight spaces for extended periods as required
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Experience working on a NASA program or similar aerospace environment
- Clean room manufacturing experience
- Manufacturing experience in human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware environments
- Experience or coursework in thermal protection systems (TPS) applications
- Job Duties & Functions
- Prepare and mix primers and chemical compounds for aerospace coating applications
- Apply thermal protection system materials to structural components and assemblies
- Execute chemical-based application processes in accordance with engineering specifications
- Interpret process documentation and blueprints to support fabrication activities
- Support production of aerospace structures using established manufacturing requirements
- Ensure proper handling, mixing, and application of materials in controlled environments
- Work within confined areas to complete coating and application tasks
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Must be able to work in confined or tight spaces for extended durations
- Must be able to stand for long periods while performing application tasks
- Must be able to handle and work with chemical materials safely
- 100% onsite at Kennedy Space Center, FL
- Must be able to work all shifts
