Job Description
Lead the design, analysis, and verification of high-speed mixed-signal digital printed wire assemblies supporting satellite radar and communication systems for aerospace and space-based platforms. Support advanced PCB development activities while ensuring manufacturability, design quality, and compliance with industry standards.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience consistent with position level requirements
- 6+ years of experience in circuit design
- 6+ years of experience applying engineering design principles
- 6+ years of experience reading engineering schematics
- Experience designing, analyzing, and verifying high-speed digital printed wire assemblies
- Experience supporting aerospace or space-borne platforms, including satellites, CubeSats, or orbital payloads
- Familiarity with IPC PCB standards
- Experience applying advanced high-speed digital design techniques
- Experience using Altium Designer (eCAD) for PCB design and manufacturability activities
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience mentoring junior mixed-signal PCB designers
- Knowledge of best practices for mixed-signal PCB design and layout
- Experience supporting P-Band, S-Band, and satellite communication frequency applications
- Job Duties & Functions
- Lead design activities for high-speed mixed-signal digital printed wire assemblies
- Analyze circuit performance across satellite radar and communication frequency ranges
- Verify hardware designs through engineering reviews and validation activities
- Develop PCB layouts that support manufacturability and performance requirements
- Apply IPC standards throughout the design and development process
- Support printed wire assembly development for aerospace and space-based applications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve program objectives
- Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with technical requirements
- Mentor junior PCB designers and support technical skill development
- Champion design methodologies and best practices for mixed-signal hardware development
- Evaluate design solutions to improve reliability, manufacturability, and performance
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work onsite full-time in Severn, MD
- Support a first shift 5/40 work schedule
- Maintain eligibility to obtain a security clearance if required
- Work in an engineering development environment supporting aerospace and space systems
