Job Description
Support real-time production engineering activities by creating and modifying technical designs, product structures, and engineering models to resolve manufacturing and quality issues. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier organizations to implement design improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Associate degree in a related discipline and typically 9+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 9+ years of experience working with aerospace design, including experience working with detail and assembly parts
- Basic understanding and usage of computer-aided design systems
- Basic understanding of design product structure, including details, parts, assemblies, and installations
- Understanding of machining metallic parts
- CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience
- Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) use and experience
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

- Job Duties & Functions
- Apply drafting principles and design concepts to resolve product and process issues within the fabrication flow
- Create drafted parts and product structures supporting operational and quality requirements
- Perform model definition changes based on engineering input and approved requirements
- Translate engineering concepts and feedback into physical part geometry and assembly definitions
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle to support design improvements
- Maintain technical design standards and support continuous development within the technical design discipline
- Review electrical component materials and process specifications used in product design and certification activities
- Identify impacts of non-conformances associated with electrical components and support corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct engineering laboratory and failure analysis activities to determine root causes of component failures
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to future aerospace products
- Collaborate with Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier organizations to resolve materials and process challenges
- Produce requirements, specifications, and technical documents supporting deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes
- Support electrical, electronic, and electromechanical component definition activities across product programs
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work onsite full-time at Everett, Renton, Auburn, and Puyallup, WA locations as assigned
- Support first shift operations with potential rotation to other shifts as business needs require
- Participate in weekend and daily overtime as required
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Complete required on-the-job training or formal classroom training prior to assignment completion
