Job Description

Design and integrate complex electromechanical hardware solutions with a focus on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) board layouts, harness design, and enclosure integration. Support manufacturing, testing, documentation, and cross-functional engineering activities to ensure reliable aerospace and defense product performance.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with CCA board mechanical design, connector selection, and manufacturing support
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Creo and Windchill
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Zuken, IPC standards, and aerospace/defense product cycles
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
    • Ability to produce high-quality design documentation and guide test and integration activities
    • CCA board layout and design experience
    • Harness design experience
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Preferred Skills
    • Cable design experience
    • Integration experience involving complex electronic hardware systems
    • Experience supporting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Design detailed mechanical layouts for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) boards
    • Select connectors appropriate for electrical and mechanical integration requirements
    • Verify fit, clearance, and tolerance compliance using Creo and Windchill
    • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues affecting hardware production and integration
    • Support DFM and DFA reviews to improve manufacturability and assembly processes
    • Define test plans for hardware verification and validation activities
    • Oversee board integration with enclosures and supporting hardware components
    • Manage documentation packages and engineering design records
    • Maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and associated configuration data
    • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, reliability, and manufacturing teams
    • Guide test execution and integration activities throughout the product lifecycle
    • Coordinate design activities within aerospace and defense development programs
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Telework less than 50%; onsite presence required in Orlando, FL
    • Work first shift on a 4/10 schedule with every Friday off
    • Support successful completion of clearance processing if required after start date
