Job Description

Support asset management operations by executing material expediting, receiving, storage, and distribution activities to ensure the timely availability of parts and materials for test and production programs. Coordinate documentation, data entry, and material movement activities while maintaining compliance with inventory control procedures and supporting engineering and production stakeholders.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Execution of work-related duties with minimal supervision in high-demand operational settings
    • Hands-on experience with the use of a personal computer, maintenance, and use of databases
    • Show proven experience with expediting, communication with internal customers, suppliers, and vendors
    • Apply prior experience in expediting and material logistics within manufacturing or engineering environments
    • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and ASSETT SMART
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Preferred Skills
    • Coordinate communication with internal customers, suppliers, vendors, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, and Purchasing teams
    • Analyze material schedule deviations and expedite parts prior to deadlines
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Receive incoming materials and process shipment preparation activities for outgoing materials
    • Inspect incoming parts and verify conformance, quantity, and documentation accuracy
    • Route materials to appropriate storage or production destinations based on operational requirements
    • Fabricate and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and packaging for specialized shipments
    • Prepare and maintain records of material movements, shipments, and inventory transactions
    • Expedite parts and materials through operations to meet test and production schedules
    • Interface with Production Control, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, suppliers, and vendors
    • Input and update material data in designated databases and tracking systems
    • Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimum and maximum stock balances for lab and production support materials
    • Identify schedule deviations and coordinate corrective actions to ensure material availability
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Onsite work required in Stratford, CT and Milford, CT (Bic Drive location)
    • First shift schedule (4/10 workweek)
    • Must operate forklifts and company vehicles as part of daily responsibilities
    • Requires flexibility to support overtime and modified shift requirements
    • Exposure to warehouse, lab, and manufacturing environments
