Job Description
Support aerospace production and operations by applying industrial engineering principles to improve efficiency, optimize workflows, and enhance process performance. Analyze production systems, develop planning models, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support safe, compliant, and efficient execution of aerospace work.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field, and typically 2 or more years of related work experience
- Demonstrate experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, production support, or operations improvement
- Support NASA programs, aerospace programs, or high-volume production programs
- Analyze processes, workflows, or production systems
- Utilize data to support process improvement, planning, or decision-making
- Generate Aurora models
- Develop precedence networks and production schedules
- Maintain the ability to obtain and maintain required site access and any applicable background screening or security requirements
- Meet regular and predictable attendance requirements
- Preferred Skills
- Demonstrate familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, or continuous improvement methods
- Support a dynamic production and operations environment
- Apply experience with production planning, capacity analysis, or workload balancing
- Utilize knowledge of aerospace manufacturing or launch operations environments
- Contribute experience supporting Kennedy Space Center operations
- Demonstrate proficiency with industrial engineering tools, metrics, and reporting methods
- Earn a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills
- Apply strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional aerospace environment
- Maintain ABET accreditation preference, although not required
- Job Duties & Functions
- Analyze production and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, flow, cost, and quality
- Evaluate manufacturing and support processes, work methods, and resource utilization to improve performance
- Support production planning, workload balancing, line flow analysis, and capacity assessments
- Conduct time studies, process mapping, and standard work development activities
- Identify bottlenecks, constraints, and lean improvement opportunities through data analysis
- Implement process changes, work instructions, and operational improvements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve process issues and improve execution
- Monitor planning and reporting activities related to schedule adherence, productivity, and operational performance
- Develop layouts, tooling requirements, and facility optimization recommendations as needed
- Apply data-driven methods to support decision-making, continuous improvement, and operational effectiveness
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to process inefficiencies or production issues
- Generate Aurora models to support production planning and schedule analysis
- Create precedence networks to sequence work activities and evaluate schedule dependencies
- Maintain production schedules in support of program execution and operational planning
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work 100% onsite at Kennedy Space Center, FL
- Support Second or Third Shift operations
- Work a full-time schedule
- Travel domestically as required
