Job Description
Support Reliability, Maintainability, & System Health engineering activities for weapons programs by analyzing reliability requirements, performing failure analysis, and supporting system design, testing, and sustainment efforts. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to improve system reliability and maintainability performance.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 9 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Experience with RM&SH engineering principles including RM&SH requirements, predictions and performance
- Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System
- Experience with performing failure analysis
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Experience using the Systems Engineering V in implementing a System onto a product
- System Engineering requirements and verification experience
- Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships
- 2+ years of Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health experience
- 2+ years of working experience in Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Reliability & Maintainability Predictions, and/or Reliability Testing activities
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering or related disciplines
- Job Duties & Functions
- Analyze customer-provided requirements and develop reliability engineering programs to achieve customer reliability objectives
- Allocate top-level reliability quantitative requirements to design teams and perform reliability predictions to track performance
- Calculate cumulative effects on final system reliability based on projected product utilization and individual part reliabilities
- Perform failure mode and effect analysis and formulate mathematical models to identify excessive failure and safety risks
- Develop computer models to analyze, predict, and improve system reliability performance
- Administer and maintain Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System databases
- Participate in recurring Failure Review Board meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including Government customers
- Coordinate with design teams to provide guidance and recommendations to ensure reliability objectives are achieved
- Interface with customers and management during major design review meetings to present reliability findings and recommendations
- Determine environmental test profiles and define objectives and success criteria for testing activities
- Provide inputs to customer proposal submittals and evaluate subcontractor reliability program proposals
- Review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and performance requirements
- Support proposal activities impacting the Reliability and Maintainability scope of work
- Provide technical support to weapons programs, including SDB, JDAM, and missile programs
- Support design, manufacture, test, and sustainment activities for aerospace platforms and products
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and reliability engineering standards
- Complete required OJT or formal classroom training as a contingency for assignment completion
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
