Job Description
Software/Algorithm engineering support is provided for the Sensor Fusion team, focusing on the development of embedded algorithms for sensor fusion, perception, and autonomous decision-making systems across manned and unmanned platforms. Work includes full lifecycle ownership of fusion algorithms, from requirements and design through simulation, testing, and deployment on real-time systems.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field required
- 6+ years of advanced proficiency in C++ within Software Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on Visual Studio development background within Software Skills
- 6+ years of demonstrated expertise in Configuration Management within Technical Skills
- 6+ years of strong integration background within Technical Skills
- 6+ years of software engineering proficiency within Technical Skills
- 6+ years of established mathematical background within Technical Skills
- 5+ years of demonstrated expertise in sensor fusion sub-domains, including state estimation, identification, correlation, or sensor tasking
- 5+ years of hands-on background in RF or IR sensor mode algorithm development
- 10+ years of proven real-time operating system development using C, C++, or Rust in Windows or Linux environments
- High-fidelity simulation or prototyping experience required using MATLAB or Python
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- 2 to 4 years of experience in MATLAB is preferred within Software Skills.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence is preferred within Technical Skills.
- 6 or more years of experience in Data Analysis is preferred within Technical Skills.
- 6 or more years of experience in Math Models and Equations is preferred within Technical Skills.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Simulation is preferred within Technical Skills.
- 6 or more years of experience in Testing is preferred within Technical Skills.
- Visual Studio development experience preferred with 5 or more years of experience
- Signal processing, AI, autonomy, navigation, or control systems background preferred
- Embedded software integration experience preferred
- Strong mathematical modeling and equation-based analysis experience preferred
- Data analysis and simulation experience preferred with 4 to 6 years of experience
- Testing and validation experience in software environments preferred, with 6 or more years of experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Algorithm development is performed for sensor fusion, perception, and autonomous decision systems across multiple platforms
- Full lifecycle ownership is maintained for fusion algorithms from design through deployment on real-time systems
- High-fidelity simulation environments are used to evaluate algorithm feasibility and operational performance
- Embedded C++ software is developed and deployed across real-time operating systems
- Sensor integration strategies are developed to support next-generation multi-platform fusion engines
- Cross-disciplinary coordination is performed with other fusion and systems engineering teams
- Subject matter expertise is provided within the sensor fusion domain to support technical decision-making and program direction
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work is performed in an onsite aerospace engineering environment
- A 4/10-A schedule is required
- Extended periods of computer-based software development and analysis are expected
- Work involves collaboration across engineering, algorithm, and systems teams
- Standard engineering tools and simulation environments are utilized
