Job Description
The Product Repair/Modification Technician performs assembly, disassembly, modification, troubleshooting, inspection, and testing of aerospace vehicle systems and components. The role supports aircraft egress systems maintenance, validation testing, repair documentation, and flight worthiness inspections while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

- Education & Job Requirements
- 5 years of aviation maintenance experience in egress, survival equipment, and/or related aircraft systems
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience installing/removing F-18 ejection seats
- Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Fighter Structural modification experience
- Ability to safely handle explosive devices and hazardous components
- Fighter Electrical modification experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Assemble, disassemble, and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
- Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul activities
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
- Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
- Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, including repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements
- Oversee training activities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support of aircraft egress systems and associated components
- Maintain aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, gaseous oxygen systems, fire extinguishing systems, air conditioning systems, cockpit heat systems, pressurization systems, and ventilation systems
- Remove and install oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators
- Remove, install, inspect, and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices CADS, shoulder harnesses, and lap belts
- Perform daily, pre-flight, post-flight, and periodic aircraft inspections
- Work under general direction
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform maintenance tasks in confined spaces or elevated positions
- International travel possible to Scotland, Greece, and Kuwait, visiting U.S. military bases
