Job Description

Location: Tucson, AZ | Department: Interiors0-1 Years - $23.50 ($29.50 OT) 1-3 Years - $26.50 ($32.50 OT) 3-5 Years - $31.00 ($37.00 OT) 5+ Years - $35.50 ($41.50 OT)Job DescriptionIn this role, you will perform interior maintenance and repair on heavy commercial aircraft, ensuring all systems, panels, and equipment meet operational and safety standards. You will work independently and collaboratively to complete both routine and non-routine assignments accurately and efficiently. You will maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment while following all company policies, manuals, and regulations.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • License or related training, if available.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy commercial maintenance, including C and D checks.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience with interior maintenance and repair, including lavatories, potable systems, panels, carpets, seats, overhead bins, and related components.
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and other technical documents.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Personal tools necessary to perform the job.
    • Preferred Skills
    • Proficient working knowledge of the proper use of safety equipment.
    • Proficient working knowledge of drill motors, drills, rivet guns, and sets.
    • Experience removing and reinstalling interior panels, insulation, floor panels, door thresholds, cockpit seats, cabin seats, overhead bins, cabin window shades, original carpet, original moonwalk, door slides and covers, life rafts, non-skid material, stewardess seats, air grills, seat covers, DATO panels, and Mylar.
    • Experience installing emergency equipment.
    • Experience in dumping and servicing lavatories, filling potable water systems, disinfecting lavatories, and cleaning the interior of aircraft.
    • Experience operating a Reader Printer.
    • General knowledge of ATA codes, FARs, and company policies and procedures.
    • General knowledge of paperwork procedures, including job cards/time cards, routine and non-routine cards, SRMs, service bulletins, and work sign-off/sell-off procedures.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform removal, cleaning, servicing, and replacement of various aircraft components using special tooling and ground support equipment according to oral and written instructions, such as supervisor’s directives and manuals, to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner.
    • Perform the recovery of all aircraft seats and armrests.
    • Perform servicing of all aircraft emergency equipment to specifications.
    • Perform the duties of lower skill levels and provide necessary training to those individuals.
    • Perform maintenance and storage of various tools in serviceable condition.
    • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.
    • Maintain and supply personal records of work completed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
    • Complete courses deemed necessary by the Training Department.
    • Perform any additional work assigned by a supervisor.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work under general direction, performing assignments after receiving general instructions regarding methods, procedures, and desired outcomes.
    • Exercise limited discretion when making selections among easily identifiable choices.
    • Work will be reviewed upon completion.
    • Maintain a moderate level of interpersonal skills to ensure effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Require easy mobility around various sections of aircraft and dexterity to remove, rectify, and replace systems or components in a timely manner.
    • Require mental agility and the ability to cope with stress and physical exertion due to long working hours.
    • Gain necessary safety knowledge by listening to instructions.
    • Possess the ability to distinguish colors to perform work adequately.
    • Stand approximately 90% of the workday on hard surfaces.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs and report to work regularly.
