Assembler

Job Description

Performs assembly operations on electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies using drawings, tools, and testing methods. Supports production processes, including inspection, rework, and prototype assembly in a manufacturing environment.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or Level 2: BS+4-8 YRS or MS+2-6 YRS
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Performs repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Assembles modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables using diagrams and drawings
• Interprets layouts and utilizes hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws to complete assembly tasks
• Conducts continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies
• Inspects products on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications
• Disassembles, modifies, reworks, and reassembles assemblies and subassemblies as required
• Tests experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions according to specifications
