Production / Inventory Coordinator

Job Description

Coordinates inventory and tool control activities, including checking tools in and out, maintaining toolbox inventory, preparing inventory reports, operating forklifts, man lifts, and gantry or overhead cranes, and supporting material handling activities as required. Performs mechanical assembly, disassembly, and basic repairs using hand tools and calibrated precision tools, while following instructions and procedures to complete assigned work accurately and safely.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School diploma/GED
• Experience with forklift operations
• 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Details & Functions
• Checks tools in and out and maintains tool accountability
• Reads very small print on tools and verifies tool identification details
• Inventories toolboxes and creates reports based on inventory findings
• Uses computer skills and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to support reporting and documentation
• Breaks down crates and transfers goods from pallets to transportation equipment
• Handles hazardous material and restocks hazardous material as required
• Drives forklifts, man lifts, and gantry cranes to support production and inventory tasks
• Builds and disassembles items using hand tools and calibrated precision tools
• Performs repairs following an instruction manual
• Supports regular and predictable attendance and completes required training as a contingency for assignment

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Lift 35 pounds daily
• Handle hazardous material
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, and cranes
• Successful completion of OJT or formal classroom training is a contingency for this assignment
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
